Huayi P16D-1 Carburetor Parts Diagram and Connection Guide
The Huayi P16D-1 is used on select small inverter generators, including some Predator 2000/1600-watt and A-iPower applications. Similar-looking carburetors are not always interchangeable. Use this guide to identify the main components and verify the stepper motor, connector, mounting pattern and hose routing before ordering.
Important: Work outdoors in a ventilated area with the engine cool. Close the fuel valve, disconnect the spark-plug lead and keep fuel away from sparks or flame. This is an identification guide, not a substitute for the generator manufacturer’s service manual.
Text-based Huayi P16D-1 parts map
| Area | Part or connection | What to verify |
|---|---|---|
| Air-filter side | Air inlet / choke plate | Opening diameter, flange shape and choke movement |
| Engine side | Intake outlet and mounting flange | Bolt spacing, gasket shape and bore alignment |
| Top/side | Electronic stepper motor and connector | Motor housing, plug shape, pin count and wire position |
| Side | Throttle or governor linkage | Lever orientation, spring location and travel |
| Lower body | Float bowl | Bowl shape, drain screw and gasket condition |
| Fuel side | Fuel-inlet barb | Barb direction, hose diameter and clamp location |
| Vent/drain | Vent and drain hoses | Original routing; never interchange with the fuel inlet |
Connection layout
- Fuel supply: Trace the hose from the fuel tank or fuel valve to the carburetor inlet before removal. Mark it with tape.
- Vent and drain: Photograph their original routing. These hoses should not be pinched, plugged or routed near hot exhaust parts.
- Stepper-motor plug: Compare the replacement connector directly with the original. Do not force a connector that differs in keying, pin count or latch position.
- Linkage and springs: Photograph every spring and linkage hole before disconnecting them. The same lever can have multiple holes with different functions.
Why two P16D-1 carburetors may not match
Some Predator 2000 generators use different stepper-motor or connector configurations even when the generator name and wattage are the same. A reliable match uses several identifiers together:
- Generator model and serial information
- P16D-1 or other markings on the original carburetor
- Reference number, where available: 16100-Z800110-0001, 59135, 71343 or 62523
- Stepper-motor body and electrical connector
- Mounting-bolt spacing and gasket outline
- Fuel barb, linkage and hose positions
Pre-order fitment checklist
- Confirm the engine is the applicable 79cc / 3 HP configuration.
- Compare clear photos of the air-filter side, engine side and connector side.
- Count connector pins and compare the latch/key shape.
- Compare mounting holes and the intake gasket.
- Do not rely on “2000 watt” alone.
Installation checks
- Use fresh, undamaged gaskets and keep the intake surfaces clean.
- Reconnect hoses and linkages exactly as documented before removal.
- Confirm the throttle and choke mechanisms move freely before starting.
- Open the fuel valve and inspect every connection for leaks before starting the engine.
- After startup, stop immediately if fuel leaks, the engine races, or the linkage does not return normally.
Common symptoms after installation
| Symptom | Checks |
|---|---|
| No start | Fuel valve, fresh fuel, hose routing, connector seating, gasket alignment and spark-plug lead |
| Surging | Intake leak, pinched vent hose, contaminated fuel or mismatched electronic control/stepper motor |
| Fuel leak | Fuel-hose clamp, bowl gasket, drain screw and stuck float/needle; do not run until corrected |
| Engine races | Incorrect linkage or spring placement; shut down immediately and compare with pre-removal photos |
Replacement option
See the 1PZ Huayi P16D-1 replacement carburetor or browse the carburetor collection. If fitment is uncertain, send 1PZ Support the generator model number, original carburetor markings and clear photos of both sides and the electrical connector.
